IDEA: Tabs as Checklist and Data Entry + Verification Doc
I have seen a few requests from brokers for a checklist that would work both as a way of tracking progress of data collection but also for audit purposes. I have a suggestion - If the tabs on the left acted like a checklist and like ApplyOnline showed a cross or tick for completeness, you could quickly see what section is incomplete and missing information. In addition, if you could link and see the relevant verification document as you go this would help both with data entry and with verification and auditing (rather than having to go back and forth to a separate 'attachments section' to look for the document. You could still have the attachments section. Basically all the information that is entered into Mercury needs to be entered from or verified with an associated document - Personal Details with ID documents (DL, passport, marriage certificate, birth certificate medicare, utility bill, Visa document); Income information with Rent Statements, Payslips or Tax Returns; Assets & Liabilities with Bank statements, Super statements, Share holdings; Security properties with a valuation or property report. It would be great for ease of data entry as well as for audit purposes if you could link and see the verification document on the same screen. So you don't get a tick on that tab until you have both entered all the mandatory information AND attached the relevant verification document. On that note, I think we need a separate ID tab; identity verification is an important part of our role - most lenders require more than the drivers license number and expiry. I have clients who don't have a drivers license and others whose name is incomplete on their drivers license (all Victorian drivers licenses omit the middle name). The ID section needs to allow for passports, change of name stat decs. ApplyOnline and lenders require the name to be entered as it is on the ID, so if the name is different on the DL and the Passport, then it needs to be entered that way and explained.

Love this- we currently have a checklist in our task however this would be so much better easier

Simon Lewis: Can you give us some examples of the sorts of tasks in the checklist? Are they straight single tasks or more complicated with subtasks?
Is there much variability between opportunities or the same across the board?

Andy Fleming: Hi Andy, We use a basic HTML checklist however the "tick" boxes do not currently work in Mercury in the current task editor as from my understanding it doesn't support this at this stage? I have attached a basic version/example of part of our current checklist. Thanks, Simon
