A year to date calculator is a tool which could be used by brokers to work out a clients annual income from the income earned in part of a year. The broker can then use the YTD gross income figure in their capacity calculations and compare it to the clients annual salary and establish whether the income is consistent with that revealed in the payslips for the particular period (i.e. weekly, monthly or fortnightly).A mortgage group online offers a similar version on their website https://www.homeloanexperts.com.au/mortgage-calculators/ytd-calculator/ . Previously when working at Macquarie, we had access to a YTD calculator which was in an Excel file, so I guess the workings and formulas should be relatively easy to create? This was based on member feedback received at today's PD Day and is something that has been raised in previous compliance workshops and with other Compliance Support Managers.Nikki Ferguson can also provide feedback on this idea. (Aaron Hase)14/09/2017 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Hi guys.Further to this feature request, having a calculator where the broker can enter a YTD income figure off a payslip, the financial year start date (with a default 1/7/XXXX), pay period end date, and the calculation is then extrapolated for the balance of the financial year.Something like our friends have here - https://www.afgonline.com.au/get-a-loan/home-loan/online-calculators/income-annualisation-calculator/A lot of brokers and myself use the tab that’s in the Westpac Servicing Calculator Spreadsheet. Having it in Mercury next to the tax calculator and under widgets would be fantastic.Cheers Aaron From: Nigel Pritchard Sent: Thursday, 14 September 2017 4:04 PM To: Helpdesk <helpdesk@connective.com.au> Cc: Aaron Hase <aaron@iconnectfinancial.com.au> Subject: Feature Request Hi Team, I have a feature request that hopefully can be added to Mercury without too much hassle. Can you please look to add a “Year to Date” calculator as a Widget? I very often have to annualise a client’s income based on their Year to Date income received. Currently I am using Westpac Bank’s calculator for this, but would be so much easier if it was available within Mercury. Kindest regards, Nigel Pritchard Mortgage Broker
